We Pulled Our Own Blower Off the Market. Here's What We Got Wrong, and What We Fixed.
A letter from the people who made it.

If you're reading this, you've probably looked at the KLAAST and hesitated. That's fair. It costs more than the small blowers on the marketplaces, and it comes from a company you've never heard of.
So here's the whole story, including the part most companies would leave out.
The first version
Two years ago we launched a one-hand cordless blower under a different name. X thousand people bought it, mostly in the US, mostly people over fifty who were tired of rakes, ladders and pull-cords. VERIFIER chiffre ventes v1
A lot of them loved it. And a lot of them told us, in detail, what was wrong with it. We read every message. Three things came up again and again:
1. It whistled. A high-pitched tone from the intake, the kind that makes a neighbor close a window.
2. It cut out under load. Point it at a wet pile, the motor pulled hard, and the battery protection tripped. You'd stand there waiting for it to come back.
3. The tube was too short. It reached the driveway. It didn't reach the gutter.
We could have printed a new box. Instead we stopped selling it.
What we rebuilt
We spent X months with our factory partner redesigning it from the intake back. VERIFIER durée
The intake. The whistle came from air hitting a flat grille at speed. The new intake is a bell-shaped mouth with a honeycomb grille, it pulls air in smoothly instead of chopping it. Same motor class, 78 dB instead of a whine, and a low tone you can live with at 7 a.m.
The battery. We went to a 20V 4.0Ah pack built for power tools, with a management system that can actually feed the motor when you lean on it. Turbo doesn't trip anymore. And we put it on the standard slide format, so if you own a pack in that format already, you can buy the tool without one. VERIFY formulation, aucune marque
The heads. Instead of one short tube, three heads, each for a job people kept telling us about:
- Storm: a 50 cm tube. Stack up to three: 100 cm, 150 cm. The gutter line, from the ground.
- Blade: flat, rubber-lipped, rotates 360°. Drying a car without a towel and without twisting your wrist.
- Jet: a concentrator for dust in tight spots.
They lock on with a bayonet twist, no screwing, no wobble.
The numbers, for the record: 375 CFM, 94 MPH, 3.6 lb with the battery on, 6-speed thumb wheel, front work lights.
What we didn't change
The weight. The trigger. The size. The people who bought the first one were right about what they liked (a tool you can hold at arm's length for twenty minutes) and we weren't going to lose that to fix the rest.
What you should know before you buy
It's a small first batch. We're building ~3,000 units in this first run, because we'd rather sell out and learn than overbuild. When they're gone, the next batch is X weeks out. VERIFIER
It's not the cheapest. It's not trying to be. The $29 tools are hairdryers with a battery; we know because we tore three of them down.
